This competition is for any certified freediver. Whether your looking for your first competition experience or you have competed before. The goal is to create a safe environment for everyone to compete.

The Venue

La Escuela Los Delfines is a fantastic venue located just outside of downtown Quepos, Costa Rica. It is a private school with a great pool and scenic surrounding. Plenty of shade with bathrooms and shower just steps away from the main pool.

The Pool

Pool: 25m long ( 1 comp lane and 3 warm up)
Depth: 1.5m – 2m
Water temp: 26C (outside pool)

Competition Rules

The competition will follow AIDA standards at all times
Every diver will be accompanied by at least 1 safety diver on every dive. Even warm-ups
There will be 2 AIDA judges on the competition lane
You must complete the AIDA surface protocol for the dive to be valid
There are 4 disciplines and 4 days – STA, DYNB, DYN, DNF There will be an overall champion for male and female athletes

Official AIDA Freediving Competition

The competition welcomes all certified freedivers and will adhere to the standards set by the internationally recognized freediving organization known as AIDA International.

To ensure the official validation of your performance by AIDA, you must register on their website and become an accredited freediving athlete.
